None. We don't operate servers for FitCheck, and the app doesn't send us your information. We don't use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking tools.
To work, FitCheck saves what you enter in the app's private storage on your device:
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Profile: scoring chart (female or male), birthday or age, height, units | To look up the scoring standards for your age and sex |
| Assessment results: event results, waist measurements, body fat estimate, altitude, notes, dates, and whether a result was official | To show your score, history, and next official due date |
| Training plan settings and workout journal | To build and adjust your training plan |
| Official test status: exemptions, holds, and a scheduled test day you enter | To work out when your next official test is due |
| Test altitude (a number in feet) | To apply altitude corrections to cardio results |
| A newer AFMAN or Playbook PDF, if you import one | To read it offline in the app |
This information isn't sent to us or anyone else. Like other app data, it can be included in your iPhone's iCloud or computer backups, which Apple protects under your Apple account settings.
FitCheck asks for location permission only when you tap Use my location or Get current conditions , and only while the app is open. It uses your location to:
You can enter altitude and weather yourself instead, and you can turn off location access at any time in iPhone Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services.
The HAMR course tool uses the camera and motion sensors (Apple ARKit) to measure a 20-meter practice course. The camera feed is processed on your device in real time and is never recorded, saved, or sent anywhere.
If you allow notifications, FitCheck schedules reminders, such as rest timers and due-date reminders, on your device. They aren't sent through our servers.
FitCheck shares information only when you choose to: exporting your assessments or workout journal as a CSV file, sharing an assessment report image, or emailing support. When you do, you pick the destination through the iPhone share sheet or your mail app, and that app's own privacy terms apply. Exports can include measurements and notes, so share them carefully.
If you email us, we receive your message, your email address, and the app version, iOS version, and iPhone model that FitCheck adds to the email. We use them only to reply and fix problems, and we don't add you to mailing lists.
FitCheck links to public government sites such as AFPC and Air Force e-Publishing. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
You're in control of your data:
Because we don't hold any of your information, there's nothing for us to delete on our side.
FitCheck is intended for adults preparing for military fitness assessments. It isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone.
FitCheck provides general fitness education and score estimates, not medical advice. Follow your medical profile and qualified clinical guidance first.
If we change how FitCheck handles information, we'll update this page and the effective date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
